Won't wind power kill off the birds from the planet?

With mounting corpses of dead birds, could it also cause disease and plague?

  1. if you are referring to propellers that are used to harness the motion of the wind for energy, then no. they are not propelled by an engine, but rather by the wind. i do not believe that birds would even go near them, considering they are in motion most of the time. they pose no threat to birds.

  3. Who needs birds? They're just loud & annoying & dirty the windows of cars. Some are good eating - they wont stay on the ground long enuf to decompose. ;)

  4. There have actually been some recent reports that windmills change the air pressure around them which results in deaths of bats due to exploding lungs. But as with almost anything, there are challenges to wind power. Now that they have identified this problem, they can work on solutions.

  12. You are right, hydrocarbons in the atmosphere are much better for them.  They said the same thing about skyscrapers but there is this thing called evolution which means that the birds will adapt.
