Won a 15in lcd?

Question

my dad won a 15 inch lcd tv that will do 720

i switch the switch to hd and plug the rbg cables from my 360 but the tv will not pick up the signal

my hd projector though picks the 360 up with no problem

what am i doing wrong

well if the tv really is a 720 heres the reason.

youve had your xbox hooked up to a different tv. im guessing in the settings on the xbox you have the output resolution at 1080.  you have to go into the video settings on the xbox on YOUR tv and switch the resolution to 720. then you can hook it u to your dads tv. thats probably why. try that.
