Question:

Wonder what this guy was doing in the bush outside my apartment?

About 7:00 last night I heard some rummaging in the bush outside of my apartment by my sliding glass door. I don't know what he was after, but it sounded like he was looking through some dead leaves or something because of the russling noises. I got up and peeked out the window as he was rummaging and suspiciously looking from left to right. Our apartment was vacant for about a month before we got it, and I would hate to think that this is some drug drop off or something. When he seen me in the window, he cut a vine out and put it in his back pocket. Then got on his bike and rode a couple feet, went to another spot real quick, and cut another vine out behind a a/c unit. He looked at me and said hi and rode off. I am totally creeped out now! Especially after I called the manager's office and told them what was going on, and they said (due to his description) it sounds like the pool boy, but there is no reason he should be in our bushes like that. What do you guys think?

  1. He could be trying to cover as a peeping tom. I would open the window or go outside and confront him casually the next time and just playfully say that it creeps you out to see him near your window, and inquire as to what the deal is. If you seem non-confrontational and simply curious, he shouldn't be defensive. If he gets defensive, then F$#*& him! Call the cops. He is disturbing your peace.

  2. Call the police, give them as many details as you can about that night.  Let them know that you also called apartment management and what they said, but that you feel the pool guy shouldn't be in your bushes.

NEVER NEVER go outside and confront him if he shows up again.  You do not know who this person is, and he might not be the pool guy.  He could have a weapon, and could harm you or anyone else who confronts him.

  3. Yes, always call the police when in doubt.   Even if it turns out to be nothing it is ok.    I had somebody sitting in front of my house for hours in their vehicle so i called the police (just on the regular number, not 911) to come check things out and as it turned out the guy was sitting there tapping into our wireless internet.

There are 3 police officers in my family and they all tell me when in doubt go ahead and call the police.  Besides involving other people could endanger them or like others have said on here management could be in on whatever it is.  Sounds suspicious to me.

  4. Always call the police first!

The manager is not the cops!

Plus you waited all night to inform the manager, what where they suppose to do?

Your concern or fear must not have been much since you did not call the police.

    When in doubt, call 911!

  5. Scary! Yea, def call the police if it happens again.

  6. i guess the man you can be dangerous, and for your safety it is better you inform the police and through that you will be able to know the person more better. through that you can decide whether to leave him or chase him away.

just know this prevention is better than cure.

  7. Don't call the police, that's selfish.

Do you know how much it sucks to get in trouble by the men in blue?

  8. Call the cops. Management my be in on what is going on. And do not let the cops tell management you called or you could be in danger.
