I teach and have the summer off. My son just turned 2. We have lots of fun every day, but we don't really have a set scedule. I was just wondering what other 2 year old scedules are like and what you do all day (please be specific). Thank you!

  1. He gets up around 7 and we eat breakfast get dressed brush teeth and walk to the bus stop to drop off his brother and sister. We run errands if we have them then we play or color. At eleven we eat lunch, brush teeth and then he takes a nap. I put him back in bed ten times he eventually sleeps until 2 or 3. I give him a starter snack, he plays until we go back to the bus stop at 4. He finishes snack then plays while we do homework, on Fridays we watch a movie but he isn't too interested in T.V. right now. We eat dinner around 6 then it is bath and we read books, then bed.

  2. My son will be 2 in a few weeks. Here's our typical day:

Wake up around 8:30, have breakfast and play a little

Go to the gym, my son plays in the child care while I work out

Run errands or go home; maybe visit a friend

Play, have lunch, play - if it's nice we play outside

    Nap around1:30 until 4

    Up for a snack

Play outside or go to the park; maybe run errands if we haven't already; go to the library if it's not nice out

    Dinner around 6

    Play some more

Bath around 7:30, read some books, bedtime at 8:30

We play with trains, puzzles, and trucks the most. We also read books or look at photo albums.

  3. My daughter is 1 and 9months old.  We start our morning by her waking up and coming and getting Mommy (I'm usually sitting in the rocker having my cup of tea before she wakes up).  Then we change her diaper and get a new cup.  From there she gets to pick one movie to watch while Mommy showers and gets ready for the day (Takes me 20 minutes but I like to wait to make sure she wakes up before I get ready --just in case).  We get dressed do our hair brush our teeth (together in the bathroom) then we put our shoes on and outside we go for no less than 30 minutes (a short walk and plenty of fun in the yard).  We have breakfast, do the dishes and start laundry.  We do our chores (we have 2 dogs and a cat so we have to clean up after them) then it's activities (Flash cards, games and other educational things).  We make lunch do dishes, read a story and have nap.  While she naps I pick up our mess and get ready for round two.  After nap we sit and snuggle for a while then we get our swim suits on and play in the water out back (kid pool) until about 3:30 - 4 then we come in have snack and just relax.  At 4:45 I start dinner while she starts the watch for Daddy (he usually is on his way home).  Daddy gets home and he plays with her while I finish dinner and set table then we all sit down and eat.  Daddy gives her bath while mommy does dishes, we all read stories and then it's bed time!!!  Between 8 - 9 each night!

PS - A set schedule helps children prepare for school!!!!  It also helps Mommies get time for themselves!
