  1. yes i do make money crocheting items. mostly for freinds that want baby jackets or even baby blankets made.  My favourite thing to crochet i think is a complete baby set which is a jacket, dress, booties, bonnet.  I'm also really enjoying doing doilies too.

  2. Yeah! You can make a ton of money with your designs in crochet! I sell on etsy.com my personal site there is withlovecrochet.etsy.com

I tend to sell to a lot of different people.  My crochet is dedicated more to the indie, hippie scene that just so happens to be in right now.  I've always crocheted this type of stuff...and sometimes when you see something online you want like a hat or scarf you can make it yourself cheap!  And the best part about selling and buying handmade is supporting independent artists that work hard for their creations and not big business that pollutes to make mass produced and overcharged things!

I love supporting independent artists online and at fairs and shows!!

  3. I don't, but this girl makes mad money with crochet stuff! I've seen her crocheted scarves on ebay sell for hundreds of dollars.  If you find a good niche like she has...then I think there is definitely money to be made.

  4. about once a year I actually do sell one of my shawls!! But they are of crocheted handspun wool so the price is slightly outlandish!

Most of the time I sell wool potholders and pan handlers. Not too many repeat customers as these last forever.

  5. Usually, baby items sell the best. Any baby blankets, booties, sweaters, etc will sell the best. You can sell a lot of these items at local craft fairs.

  6. I do occasionally with knitting.  It can't be that different for crochet.  My best sellers are items that I price reasonably.  The best seller of all is a pair of handwarmers (a.k.a. fingerless mittens) that I can make in an hour from about $1.50's worth of yarn -- if I pay full price for it somewhere.  I sell them for $5.- a pair.   I sell them at craft fairs.
