  1. They keep saying the end of May.  But that date has been pushed back several times.  Sirius always seems to keep their single-artist channels around well beyond their welcome.  So who knows with Sirius.

  2. I don't know why Sirius doesn't devote a channel to single artists.  Right now, they have Springsteen, Neil Diamond, The Dead and Elvis in addition to Sinatra- and Buffett- oriented channels.

There's nothing on channel 119 at the moment - Sirius???

At any rate, back to your question.  For months I continued to call and ask about the return of the Bridge, and they continued to tell me that there was no definitive return date, but "you can listen to the Bridge online".  That's great, but most of the time that I'm at work, I don't have time to listen to my computer.  I bought Sirius predominantly for the car (although I've since added a home unit that I plug into my Bose - WOW!).

Last week, when I called with the same question, they responded that the Bridge returns June 1.  So I'm fairly confident that Springsteen won't be extended any further.

Not sure how long it will last, but I have to tell you that I'm tired of them replacing the Bridge every time they want a single artist channel.  If they didn't have the NFL, I'd take my 3-line subscription to XM.

  3. The Bridge is often removed from the Sirius lineup when the service wants to devote a channel to a single artist for a period of time, such as The Rolling Stones or The Who. As September 27, 2007, it is currently being displaced by E Street Radio, devoted to the music of Bruce Springsteen. The channel can still be heard on Sirius' internet stream, however.

The Bridge will return to the satellites in late May 2008.
