  1.     It should go to the one who has the schedule and living arrangements that are most conducive to the dog.  If they are not able to reach an agreement, then they could always share the dog, much like parents share their children.  They need to reach an agreement about who is responsible, both financially and physically, for the dog's care, and who will keep the records on things like rabies vaccinations and such.  I know people who have had this work for them.

  2. I agree with everyone else.  They will have to work it out.  The judge may have to end up deciding though and in that case it will probably go to the primary caregiver.

  3. i agree, they need to work it out between them. and remind them that one of them may have to get another dog!

  4. At least both of them want the dog--often it is unfortunately the other way around, that neither person wants the dog and off he goes to the pound.

  5. That's something that they will have to work out between the two of them.  There's no right or wrong here, it's just what they can agree on.

  6. who does the dog like better? who bought the dog? who can have the dog where they live? maybe doggie court TV!!!!

  7. The court will have to decide the fate on that one.  Not sure how they would decide that for sure, but if I was a judge I would see who was the sole caretaker of the dog.  If there were children involved, it would go to the parent with custody of the children.

  8. sounds like the dog is a pawn, if one decided they didn't want the dog I'd bet the other wouldn't either. A way of striking back at each other... lets hope he ends up in a home where the person wants him and will share time & love with him/her.
