Wong Choong Hann tames Lin Chia Hsuan in Men’s Singles second round of Kumpoo Macau Open
Malaysia’s veteran player Wong Choong Hann displayed his wonderful skills in the arena and easily toppled Lin Chia Hsuan of Chinese Taipei in Men’s Singles second round at Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton Grand Prix Gold 2012 on Wednesday, November 28, in Macau.
The experienced Choong Hann, who has been playing competitive badminton despite irrespective of his growing age, put up spectacular show of attacking badminton and remained successful in winning the battle in just 28 minutes.
Malaysian shuttler was in impressive form as he played with wonderful speed and remained successful in punishing his Taipei challenger in straight games with a killing margin on the board.
On the other hand, Lin Chia was completely unable to respond positive to the powerful and well directed smashes of his Malaysian opponent. He also failed to match the pace of rallies and ultimately crashed out without even getting close.
The left handed Choong Hann performed well in the initial rallies of first game as he played with wonderful speed and took over the control of rallies.
Malaysian shuttler showed that he still has some badminton left in him as he played attacking and positive badminton on court and ultimately got a strong position in the arena.
Choong Hann advanced with an impressive speed in the first half and remained in lead on score board until the one-minute break.
The confused Lin Chia, in the meanwhile, failed to create trouble for his Malaysian opponent after the mid-game interval as he lost his focus and started to play negative shots.
Nevertheless, Choong Hann did not slow down the pace of the game at any stage and comfortably grabbed the first game with a sound 21-13 margin on the board.
In the second game, the situation remained the same as Choong Hann played in the similar dominating manner and easily took an early lead.
The hard to return smashes of Choong Hann and his incredible speed created a huge difference between both shuttlers in the arena. Until the break, the Malaysian stayed miles ahead on the board.
After the break, Lin Chia failed to show up a strong resistance against his Malaysian rival who easily ended up the set with a smashing margin of 21-8.
The lofty Choong Hann stamped his mark over Lin Chia in an authoritative manner in just 28 minutes with a phenomenal total of 21-13 and 21-8.
