I was told by my English friend that Camilla can not be Queen because the throne represents the Church of England and is protestant.  The law says no Catholic shall be King or Queen. Camilla is a Catholic. She also said that their marriage wasn't acceptable according the the law for a King to be married in a civil ceremony.  It could get interesting in the next few years.

Disagree with you. At least Diana was conspicuous when having affairs. Her and Dumbo Charles taped their conversations to be found out. Camilla is an ugly prune bag and wants the notoriety that Diana had.

Camilla will be a wife of a reigning monarch ;she will be there to support her husband. Perhaps she will support hospitals,charities and issues important to her.

Diana was not perfect,but neither is Charles,Camilla,or for the matter anyone.Diana did have the ability to reach out and connect with people;she had charisma.Camilla may be a nice person,for all that we know;she is not a media-target like Diana was and is careful to keep things private.

Unfortunately she won't become Queen, she will be "The Princess Consort". I think the majority of the British public will accept her.

Diana wasn't rotten but she also wasn't the saint that people make her out to be either - nobidy is perfect and Diana did use members of the press to her own advantage.

Diana was 19 when she got engaged to Charles, I doubt she expected to have to "manipulate the press" (as Daniel states) and I doubt that she would have wanted to be involved in a 3-way relationship. Did she use the press initially to disparage both Charles and Camilla over their persistent affair. No. She carried on with her duty as Princess of Wales, although suffering emotionally she kept it hidden. I'm sure the lack of love from Charles in some way drove her to her "not so perfect" behaviour, but what was she supposed to do? Be the token wife, the model princess, just to make Charles look good, to produce an heir and be unhappy, all the time while he had his cake and was eating it, happy as a pig in sh*t? Camilla did not do the decent thing and step back from the adulterous affair she was having BEFORE Charles married Diana. She wanted Charles and nothing was going to stand in her way. Queen Camilla? I'd say Madam Cruella would be more appropriate. Ruthless, callous and self serving. Once a person shows what they are really like, believe it. She's shown her true colours. And I have no respect for Charles. Any man that could sh*g that ugly old trout is just too lazy to w*nk.

By the way, when Charles divorced Diana, she was stripped of her title. What an insult. And now you suggest that Camilla should be given a bigger title when she was party to that same divorce?

I don't think Camilla is ugly.  Prince Charles is, however.  Calling her names because of what she looks like is childish and immature.

she is the complete opposite in the public eye, many people would agree. She cheated with a Charles before he married diana, then assumed that she would just be okay with it from the start.  Camilla is the worst possible choice for queen, what she did is totally against the church of england and all of th crowns beliefs.
