Won't pick up bottom thread

Question

Hi,

I have pulled out my sewing machine after MANY years of sitting. First, the reverse is stuck, I saw where that was address. Now the thread won't pick up the thread from the bobbin. I have looked online to see if this has been address and I can't find anything?
