Question:

Wood s***w, is glued into the wrong place! Help.?

So i bought a desk, and now im putting it together. And you know those wood s***w things, well i glued it into the wrong spot. And i used carpenters glue.. and now it wont come out.. any ideas how to get it out?

i tryed using pliers and the wood just stays put

  1. If you want to fix that hole, put a drop or two of glue in it and stuff the holes with toothpicks, then you can put the s***w back in. If you do not need that hole for the s***w fill it with wood filler and sand it, may have to stain it.


  2. If you mean the little wooden pegs that are used to align and glue furniture, those would need to be cut off flush to the surface, accurately marked and drilled out with the proper size drill, and you'll need to buy a replacement unless the desk maker included an extra one or two with the kit.

    In most cases, unless that peg is in a critical spot, you can just cut it off and forget about it.    If you need to replace it, then drill it out and use a peg from some less critical place, like somewhere under the middle of the desktop surface.
