  1. Specific stoves will have different flue dimension requirements, maybe 4",5",6" etc. Check the exact model stove you have with the manufacturer although the collar size on the stove will indicate flue size. The stove collar should take at least a 12" solid section of flue, could be more, 24",36". From there on a flexible stainless steel flue can be used (assuming it is going to be dropped down inside a conventional brick chimney). The right specification s/s flue needs to used, some are rated for solid fuels, others for gas. Check out stainless steel flexible flues online, suppliers will have all the information, specifications, you need.

  2. If this is the type of woodburning stove that I think your talking about, I would say "NO". These generate intense heat and require a chimney system. I would check with your local building codes and also refer to the manufacture's recommended installation

  3. Not for a woodstove it isn't...pellet stove maybe since the exhaust from them is a lot cooler.  I recommend an insulated stovepipe--it will help with the draft to get the stove started.

  4. no u need to get the proper steel tubing from supplier that sells the stoves

  5. I don't think so. If this stove is in your house, have you contacted your Homeowners Insurance company? A wood burning stove can/will increase your premiums and cause your insurance not to pay if they are not aware of the installation.

  6. most require no less then 10 inch need straight pipe-if your installing it make sure requirements with insurance company
