Wood stain????????????????????

Question

my mom is giving me her old dresser because it fits in my room better than my huge one, and i was wondering if it would be easier... or at least look better to stain it white (if they have white wood stain) or just paint it white.... ill check back later :) thanks

It might be easier to paint it.  Use oil based enamel, not latex.  Sand it with about a 200 or higher number sandpaper to scratch the surface enough for the paint to grab hold.
