Woodacre expected to prevail in Free Radio Standard National Hunt Flat Race
Woodacre has got a very good chance of winning the Free Radio Standard National Hunt Flat Race (Conditional Jockeys´ And Amateur Riders´ Race) at Hereford in England on Thursday, June 14, 2012. The winner of the class-6 race will walk away with a cash
prize of £1,365.
Stamina will play a crucial role in the 1 mile 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 21:10 GMT. A total of 15 runners have lined up for action at Hereford and their names are as follows: Vin Chaud, Woodacre, Smart Agent, Violets Boy, Antonius
Lad, All Right But, Breakoutthebooze, All Hope, Cluaindubhloch, Fast Ruby, Oscar Belle, Pollyanna Steele, Special Boru, Narapatisithu and Princess Kiera.
Although most of the runners have not even raced yet, a few of them have got a solid chance of fighting at the front. The going will be good to firm, which will suit Woodacre more than others.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in just a couple of events until now, but has not managed to win any of them. However, his performances in them have not been bad at all, as he finished runner up on both occasions.
The Richard Whitaker’s trainee was not given good odds in his first ever outing, but he did a fabulous job in it. He was unable to challenge the winner, but a second place finish was good enough for him to earn the confidence of the bookies.
Woodacre was rated as the favourite to win his next race and he was quite competitive in it. He was partnered by legendary jockey, A. P. McCoy, but the pair could not take the top spot in the end, finishing runner up.
However, there is a solid chance for Woodacre to bring up his maiden victory in the sport. He will be ridden by Kyle James, who is relatively new to the sport. He lacks consistency, as his overall strike rate is on the lower side. However, his performances
in recent times have been good, which will give him a lot of confidence.
On the other hand, Vin Chaud has been awarded with pretty decent odds, despite the fact that she has never taken part in any race.
