  1. The density of water at standard temperature and pressure is 1 g/cm^3, therefore since the wooden block and mass are at the surface, they are the same density as the water.

    The two things as a whole therefore take up 30 cm^3. It is not possible to determine the volume of the wooden block alone unless the volume of the mass is given also.

    If the mass is assumed to have a negligible volume, then I guess the answer is 30 cm^3.
