Wooden knitting needles allowed on carry on?

can any one tell me if wooden knittle needles are allowed on my carry on for the airplane

    (Knitting needles are under "Makeup, Medication, Personal Items & Special Needs Devices")

    I've traveled with various projects with various types (and sizes) of needles with out any issues.  I even traveled with my ENTIRE knitting needle (wooden, metal, and plastic needles of different lengths and sizes) collection once in my carry on bag and traveled fine.

  3. My sister had no problem with her metal needles domestically or internationally.  But I had a friend who had her wooden needles confiscated in Europe.  I think it often depends on the country and, more important, the disposition of the individual security personel.

    For domestic travel, I would carry a copy of the TSA form as insurance.   And I would definitely not bring my favorite pair.  Good luck!
