Woodmancote Gem upsets Ballymac Indeed to win the 515m Grade A2 race
 
Woodmancote Gem caused an upset in the 515 metres Grade A2 greyhound race at Hove on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. The prize money for the winning hound was £129.
The winning dog covered the total distance in 30.54 seconds, after popping out from trap number one. He ran very well, and as a result ended up on top of the table, upsetting the favourite b***h, Ballymac Indeed.
Woodmancote Gem’s starting price was 3 to 1, and he is trained by W R Wrighting.

The winning hound is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Westmead Oak, and was born in October, 2008.
Ballymac Indeed tried her best to challenge the race winner, but fell short by 0.23 seconds in the end. She completed the race distance in 30.77 seconds, breaking from trap number five.
The favourite hound had a starting price of 9 to 4, and was trained by K J Tester. She was born in November 2009, to Ballymac Kewell, out of Coolavanny Blue.
The third place was taken by Guinness Fantasy, who had a starting price of 6 to 1.

He went into the race from trap number six, and gave a tough time to the second placed b***h, who fell short by a head’s distance ahead of Guinness Fantasy.
The S A Cahill trained hound is the son of Premier Fantasy out of Fenland Lark, and was born in January, 2009.
Killahara Joker finished the race in fourth position. He had a starting price of 4 to 1, and completed the total distance in 30.98 seconds.

He is also trained by W R Wrighting, and the fourth placed hound is the son of Balintore Brave, out of Blissful Jessie.

The J J Heath trained dog, Fabulous Clouds, ended up taking the fifth spot. She went into the race from trap number three, and had a starting price of 5 to 1, finishing the race in 31.13 seconds.
Fabulous Clouds was born in December 2008, and she is the daughter of Head Bound, out of Fabulous Charm.
Seals Babe, the youngest participant in the race, completed the order of finish. She had a starting price of 4 to 1, and her trainer, B A Clemenson, would have expected her to be in the top three finishers.
Seals Babe is the daughter of Crash and Foggy Blue Bell. She was born in May 2010.
