Woods gets back in his golf groove
The 34-year-old golfer and winner of 14 majors, prominent American Tiger Woods is all set and geared to set fire at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Open.
He will be opening his campaign by playing against golfers that are in line of possessing similar stature and calibre in the game.
In order to add greater excitement and exhilaration in the event from its very beginning, such encounters have been arranged where Tiger Woods would battle it out with Luke Donald and Rory McIlroy.
The veteran golfer was yet again hiking towards a new zenith in his career, when just at the end of the last year season things began to turn a bit of an undesirable turn.
With his position slumping in a couple of events the door of doubt was left ajar.
However, with the beginning of the new season he has been gradually moving into the top notch from the 58th to the 25th.
It is also important to mention here that just before the beginning of Abu Dhabi Open, Woods, in one of his statements, said that he has never felt that fit before any golf event.
Keeping in mind that he is just four events away from equalising the record of 18, currently in possession of Jack Nicklaus, such fitness status in mandatory.
Moreover, pundits also believe that Woods has been able to clear the debris of some earlier problems that could have served as distraction for him.
Recent replacement of his caddie Steve Williams and clearance of other domestic problems will further play a pivotal role in enhancing his chances of winning.
According to Woods, "It was just nice to get away from it for a little bit. I worked really, really hard getting ready for Australia and then the World Challenge, and it was nice to take a couple-week break and just get away from the game for a little bit".
He further said that he has been working really hard on his working sessions and routine to refine his game.
"I spent quite a bit of time preparing and, when I have kind of set my mind to something like that, I need to take a break from it,” he stated.
Watching some of the best players of golf battling it out against each other will be extremely entertaining.
