The Pebble Beach Pro-Am event is where it is mainly personalities like Andy Garcia and Bill Murray making people go gaga on the entertainment side.
Meanwhile, it is the legendary golf player, Tiger Woods, who has taken the responsibility of handling the event to convince his fans that he still has the spark that defines a golf player of his calibre.
Woods, who won the title back in 2000, is once geared to claim his victory at Pebble Beach. This is also important for Woods, since he is making his PGA debut this year also.
According to experts, it is a key opportunity Woods has to reinstate his credibility among his fans, whom he disillusioned after all the domestic sufferings that he experienced.
While talking to the reporters, he quite confidently said that he is looking forward to restoring his credibility among his fans. This can only be done through the performance standards he will be able to establish.
Woods commented, "I just haven't played (here) in a while, and it's been (because of) scheduling. This time it fits perfectly in my schedule so I'm excited to be back".
It is important to mention here that Woods has not been able to secure a victory in the US circuit of golf since 2009.
However, according to pundits, the recent modifications that he has introduced in his game will surely help him in improving his ranking.
Also, in this context, his performance at the recently held Dubai Open is worth mentioning, where he was able to prove his worth in front of players like Luke Donald, Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy.
In addition to this, his recent performances delivered at the Australian Open and Chevron World Challenge serve as terrific additions in his portfolio.
After a rather depressing phase of his life, in the form of his marriage breakdown and injuries, this was a golden opportunity for Woods to once again prove himself.
Furthermore, Tiger believes that he, despite his long absence from the golf course and PGA event on the whole, he has less pressure on him to deal with.
He is quite at peace, which suggests that he is quite relieved in terms of his performance.
It will definitely be very interesting for the audience to witness the heartthrob of golf performing with all his might once again.
