Woodshop good for girls?

There is an optional class I might be taking. It's kinda a woodshop thing. Is that ok for girls?

  1. It's an excellent choice, especially for girls. You will learn to use tools and design things. It's interesting to see how a mental vision turns into an actual object and you can make useful stuff.

    And some day, if you have the chance, take a metalworking shop, too. Learning to use a lathe and a milling machine is great background for all sorts of things.

  3. why wouldn't it be. classes aren't gender based. i took wood shop first semester freshman year and i absolutely loved it. i ended up with a great project

    i met a lot of new people and i had a great time. but if you are the type who likes to fool around shop isn't for you. shop is a serious thing, its very easy to get hurt.

  4. yeah, we have a class at my school like that, and a lot of girls take it, i took it as a sophomore. It was fun
