happy birthday me (14). What album/songs should I buy?

I'm kind of into everything. pop (The Cure)... punk (Dead Kennedys, The Misfits)... metal (Opeth)... indie (The Shackeltons).... weird stuff (Mr. Bungle)....classic rock (Queen). My recent obsession has been Nine Inch Nails.

Genres I normally don't enjoy are post-hardcore and pop-punk.

For weird stuff - Frank Zappa. Listen to some previews first though! Earlier material the better.

Classic rock - Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors.

Smoeone I would really suggest, the godfathers of and greatest punk band ever - The Stooges. They don't have as much of that typical punk sound as you'd expect.

Actually yeah, if you were to take my advice on one album - get Raw Power by The Stooges - You won't be sorry. :)
