All-rounder, Rikki Clarke, also got a start to his innings, but failed to capitalise. He scored 34 runs off 61 balls with the help of six fours. With eight wickets down for 148, things looked terrible for the visitors, but Chris Woakes played brilliantly
with the tail-enders. He scored an unbeaten 47 runs from 52 balls, hitting eight fours in his innings. The youngster deserved a half-century, but ran out of partners from the other end.

Although Warwickshire got off to a very good start to their second innings, they still trail by 98 runs. However, they did not lose any wicket and both openers Chopra and Westwood are unbeaten on 57 and 19 respectively at the close of the play for the day.
