  1. 4:15 and 4:27 - that 12 minutes apart.

    12 minutes is 1/5 of an hour (12/60 = 1/5 = 0.20).

    Trains A has 1/5 of an hour head start.  At 80 miles per hour (times 1/5) is 16 miles (80 * 0.2 = 16 miles).

    Train b has to make up 16 miles.  The difference is speed is 10 mph (90 - 80 = 10).

    16 / 10 = 1.6 hours

    1.6 hours =  1 hour and 36 minutes.

    So it take 1.6 hours

    So 4:27 plus 1:36 ==>> 6:03 pm

    Good Luck...

    P.S Next time do your own home work...

  2. Need to know where they both started from, and when, otherwise the question is about as much value as, 'how long is a piece of string?'
