They meant to say that you are not confident about yourself or your decisions. You have a knack of thinking that what you are doing is not right.

It means that you're always doubting yourself. Probably 'cause of low self-esteem. So people are telling you to stop judging your actions and decisions...and start trusting your instincts!

It isn't an easy exercise...i would know, 'cause i have the same problem...but it's worth wile in the mean-time.

Second guessing means to question yourself or to doubt yourself. When they tell you to stop second guessing yourself, they mean to say that you need to trust yourself and just do what you're going to do.

It's kind of hard to explain, but I hope this clarifies.
