Words Copied Multiple Times

Question

Hi,When I print a sheet all words will appear as they should. However multiple words are being copied lightly through-out the whole page, over top of each line. It's like the roller is retaining wet ink?Thanks in Advance!Cheers!I have an HP Laser Jet 4L. It prints fine with the exception of large black splotched on the left hand side of every page. The splotches are toner of course. They are darkest at the begining of the page and become lighter toward the end of the page. I took the unit apart and cleaned it completely but the problem persists.
Could it be as simple as a cartridge problem?
