Wordsaplenty looks the best pick in Nantwichveneers.com Claiming Stakes at Wolverhampton
Trainer Stan Moore has a decent track record at Wolverhampton, as his last five runners finished 1-2-2-2-2 in the claimers. The veteran handler will be represented by two dashing runners in Friday’s Nantwichveneers.com Claiming Stakes, and Wordsaplenty looks
the pick of his duo.
The 2-year-old, a close triumphant at Catterick earlier this month, seems to be in good shape. She ran a few very good races in defeats early in the season, and finally got it right on August 17th.
In the hands of David Allan, the 3-1 chance could not make an impressive start, but improved smoothly thereafter. She maintained the standards inside the final furlong, and led just before the finishing line.
Special Report kept her under pressure all the way through, but failed to make an impression on the winner. As a result, the glory went to Wordsaplenty, who won only by a nose.
Owned by The Moore The Merrier, the daughter of Thousand Words is making her first journey here. However, she would not face much trouble in adjusting to the conditions.
Stan Moore’s fantastic track record is enough to show that he knows this track very well. So, his in-form trainee is expected to sway things in her favour today.
The spectators are all set for an entertaining battle. The action will be started off at 19:20 GMT. The class 5 meeting has attracted a dozen entries, and carries a handsome cash prize worth £2,264.
Charlie Em will be another to watch out for. The novice made a few below par efforts at the start of her career, but did not lose determination.
Trained by Richard Fahey, the filly got off the mark at Catterick, when beating Out Of The Blocks by a neck’s distance in the Pin Point Recruitment Nursery. She kept doing well, and secured the runner-up spot at Newcastle earlier this month. Brazilian Clown
was runner-up last twice, and needs luck to upset the proceedings here.
Charlie Em, who is full of confidence after two fine performances, is the biggest danger to Wordsaplenty. Moore’s charge has a tough task to complete, but still remains the best option. Good luck to all the runners.
