Wore contacts at the beach today and in water, put them in tonight now little blurry than usual, whats up?

Mmmkay, i went to the beach today and decided to wear my contacts. Was in the water (salt) for about 3 hours. Water got in my eyes a lot but wasnt a problem at the time and contacts stayed in. Came home, took em out, and went to sleep. Woke up a few hours ago and they were fine for about 20 minutes when my right eye started to blurr up. Blinking helped but it kept comming back. So i took it out, cleaned it in my palm, put it back in, and now its fine but then my left eyes started to blurr too. What happened? Are my contacts like damaged from the water or something or are my eyes just blurry from the salt that might still be in em?

Maybe you havn't cleaned them properly or the sand and salt have damaged them.
