Question

I need to write a thank you letter to a headmaster of this school can you please help me out on how to format this and i also need some help on how to start and end it =)

After you put in the date, headmasters name, and address at the top, then the salutation: (Dear Mr. X), you might start by saying "I am writing to thank you for..." Go on to detail exactly how he helped you and what you're going to do with what he did for you. Remember to keep the focus on him - your kind words did this, your action was appreciated, your efforts on my behalf; what ever is appropriate. Try to avoid say "I" too much. The letter's not about you, it's about being gracious to him. You can end it with "yours sincerely" or "best regards"  By the way, kudos to you for taking the time to send a thank you letter and for wanting to do it right. That says a lot about a person's maturity and respect for others.

Dear Sir,

              I wish to thank and your staff for the formal education i have received at this school. (elaborate a little on that) mention confidence you will take into the work place.

Keep it fairly brief and to the point. End with:-
