I would like to help out with peoples horses in the North Wales area- work in return for rides. Are there any good sites to advertise on (posibly for free) and how should I go about asking if people need any help with their horses?

  1. put adds up in your local horse store or tack shop even newspaper!

  2. I don't know of any sites coz I don't live in your area, but I think you could just go up to the place where you would like to ride and ask them if you could work in return for rides. I'm sure they won't mind. I actually did this a few years back. My parents couldn't afford to keep paying for my riding lessons, and they told my instructor the situation I was in. She let me work and I didn't have to pay for my rides.

    Good luck =)

  3. At this time of year I'd suggest looking for places that do  trekking etc as well as people who could do with a hand.

Advertise your services in the tack shops etc and ask around.

    Good luck.

  4. I assume you mean North Wales in Europe?  There is a town called North Wales in Pennsylvania.

  5. Personasly if i needed someone to ride my horse for me i wouldnt go looking in the local newspaper or advets in tack shops! God knows whos going to turn up 2 ride my horse wether they are capable of riding or looking after a horse! really id be inviting a TOTL STRANGER to ride my horse .. the best way to go about this is word of mouth because at least then whoeva they heard you of knows that you are trustworthy!!... mabi u mite know someone who has horses ..so ask 2 ride out with her one day so that she can say to other horse riders "look i know this grl who is capable and willing to ride your horse for you.. shes a great rider and a gd laff .. and is only charging a small price " most parents havnt got time to look for people to ride ther horse but hearing it from ther friend is so much easier and reliable! ..

Trust me on this one !!

Iv had horses all my life !... My first horse poppy became lame so  i was reccomend to my mums friend to ride her pony the more i rode different peoples ponys and horses the more i became noticed (Iv been doing it since i was 9) and eventually last year a woman that had seen me ride in a show reccomended me to Helen Ress an International Show Jumper to ride her daughters horse ( Shes just had a baby) Its fantastic and its all been through word of mouth and NO advertisments!

    Good luck anyway x x
