Work... Help..?

At work they have asked me to leave as there isnt enough work for me to do when a new system comes in.. They have done this just beofre Xmas and now im fu**ed! It's not fair because now I won't be able to get a job in time as im just 17 and people my age look for jobs especially around this time. My mum said I should ask them for my holiday pay as I didn't use them all as I didn't really want to have time off incase they needed me. I don't know if Iam intitled to this as I signed a 9 month contract to cover for someone who was on maternity leave and when she came back they gave me another job, but didn't ask me to sign a contract for the rest of the time I was there. I feel really, really angry because I wont have money to buy my family presents and if my parents give me the money, theres no point as I wanted to work for the money! What should I do about this? They said I could work in another part of the building but they knew I wouldn't do it and they have been banking on me saying

Take the other job and look for something new while you are there. Alt least it keeps the money comming in. Unfortunalty Life aint fin and we all have to do things we dont want to do to get by.

Good morning it's 7:00am here in NC, I would ask them for my Holiday pay and any other pay you might be in titled to,I know your upset with them now but if you look at the big picture, it would be in your best interest to accept the job if it is there for the taking,and as I was working there I would make sure to send my resume out everywhere,,,if you do take the job? is there another job? at least it will get you through Christmas and give you time to find something else,when I was terminated last month my company didn't offer me a hand shake,I don't know much about England,but here in the states we can get unemployment if your fired,that's why we pay taxes,, not much at all but it's better than nothing at all,,,take the job just for now,,,don't give them any excuse to say they offered and you refused,,at the very least it will look good on your resume, there is an old saying here in the states,,but i cant put it on yahoo I will tell you later,,be good to yourself ever thing is going to be OK...

first thing first did you learn anything.  namely when you are working always get a contract, review the contract, have someone you trust clarify it, and always get everything in writing, otherwise its your word against theirs.

Why not go work in another part of the building until the holiday is over and you find another job.
