Work Permit in California?

Hi,

Im 15 and 1/2 years of age and i recently applied for a job and i've learned that i will get news on whether i am hired or not by this saturday. The issue i have is, how do i obtain a work permit. i know that there are requests for work permits in my school office but because of the irvine unified school district budget cut, my school is being shut down this summer to save money. If im working during the summer, do i even need to get a work permit? if so, where can i apply for one, other than my school? Thanks for your time! best answer = 10 points

Maybe try going to a different school and tell them your situation they may be able to help you. Or even better go to the city council and ask about work permits there.
