Work Visa in Australia?

Hi,

An Australian firm is sponsoring my work visa ( i guess its E457 or something) to work in Sydney in IT industry. I wanted to know if we can change jobs while being on this visa or if we change jobs the new employer has to apply for a 457 visa again. A similar case would be US visa system where on an H1B visa u can change jobs but on L1 you can't.

The answer is: Yes. You can move to a new sponsor if you wish to. The new sponsor must agree to sponsor you and be approved by DIAC.
