Work at a wildlife reserve?

What kind of requirements would there be to work at a wildlife reserve? I am currently working a biology degree and plan on going to Vet school in about two years. But what else could I do? Eventually I want to go to Africa and work with the animals there but right now I have no idea what I would need to do to get there.

What you have planned sounds pretty good as it is.  Keep up-to-date on wildlife reserve work and plan and act accordingly.

If you'd like to get some on-the-job training you could volunteer at a zoo or a reserve near you.  The animals might be different but some of the procedures & concepts are the same and it will look good on your resume.
