This is a very vague queston.  

There are a lot of work at home businesses out there, Child Day care center is one type of home based business, Plumbing can be a home based business, Mobile Auto Detailing can be a home based business etc.  I know a lot of different people who have home based businesses in different industries and do very well.  Some people will tell you home based businesses are scams.  That is far from the truth.  I know many people like I said, who have businesses that they run from their homes.

Another example is in the telecommunications industry.  You should read Success from Home, Fortune, as well as many other magazines, they have a lot of home based business ideas and companies that you can collaborate with and have your own business within a business.

You should also read the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" There's also an article written on home based businesses that has over half a dozen different industries to look into. what's involved, etc.
