Work experience in radio or buisness at 15 ??

im intrested in doing work experience in radio , do you think it is a good idea in contacting radio staions directly ? , btw im 15 and live in london .

  1. As far as I know, I doubt any radio station would let you intern for them quite yet. That's usually not until you're 18. You can start out doing promotions for them or a form of volunteering.

    However, it's always a good idea to get in touch with them just in case.


  2. if your school has a station that plays in the halls as homerooms starts and in the cafateria... try that first to get some expierience... i do on-line DJ'ing for fun... look around on-line, maybe there is a station that is lookin for someone new... good luck

  3. That's how I got my start. I called a radio station and asked if I could just sit it, then they put me on the air and, not long after, I was a part-time Disc Jockey. That's the way to do it. I would try to call a smaller station first, you'd have your best chance with one of those.
