Is there anyway I can work from home and make a descent income? I've just started looking into working from home and it seems the information available online is overwhelming. I can't afford to get scammed and could use some advice. I'd like to earn some extra income and maybe one day transition it into a full time job. If you have personally established yourself in the work from home industry and would like to share any links, companies, websites, hints, all information is appreciated. Thank you!

  1. If you want to just earn some extra money then your on the right track for a home based job.  Home based job's only pay minimum wage. After taxes are taken out then your income become less then minimum wage. If this is what extra money is for you, you should take a look at vivy's article on here from yahoo.  A great article on home based jobs what to look for to determine if a job is a scam or not.  It also has a couple places that you can go and apply for.

If minimum wage isn't a sufficient amount of income, then I suggest that you step out of your box and look into home based business opportunities.  There are plenty of them around that are not scams.  You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business without all the over head expenses.  the article touch bases on this type of working from home as well.

  2. My own personal work from home experience involves a home business. I started it back in November. It doesn't cost anything to get started, so you don't have to worry about getting scammed. If you don't like the business, you haven't spent any money and you don't have to continue. I love that I can work whenever I want and earn that money that I want.

Some general work from home business advice. You need to understand that it takes time to build your business. You can't expect tons of money overnight. Also, you should try and devote some time to working your business pretty much everyday, even if it's only 15 minutes.

To find a work from home job, you need to go to job posting sites, such as Monster. Then, search through the type of job you're looking for using the keyword "telecommuting". You generally have to have a lot of experience in a certain field to be able to work from home.

If you have any other questions, just let me know. I researched a lot of different things before I found my business and can research things for you, too, if you want.
