  1. If you can truly find a job to work from home that isn't a scam i would do that, if you work from 3-8:30 you will more than likely be tired and then end up testy at your daughter. children w/out special needs are a hand full, when you throw in a special need it only multiplies the patience you need as a parent.

I would love to work from home, however, i have been unable to find something that i dont think im investing into a scam.

if you think you need the time away from your daughter then take the job outside of the home.

Are you ok with staying home 24/7?  Can you at least get a respite worker to come into the home so you can have a little extra help?

My son was born prematurely, had heart surgery, and came home on oxygen. I was able to have a respite worker come in so i could at least go take a nap, shower, go to the store, etc...

If you choose to stay home that might help you keep  your sanity!

Good Luck in whatever you chose...

  2. IMO, if you are working until 8:30 in the morning, you are going to be too tired to take care of your daughter when you get home.  When will you sleep?  I think the work from home sounds more realistic.

  3. It may be a lot harder to work from home then you think, if you are working there days with your daughter awake.  You end up basically devoting half your attention to both.  And that may not be good for your daughter - or for keeping the job.  So basically it would have to depend on the flexibility of the job and the hours.

The nice thing about the store is the picking up of hours, and if its for a company that you can move to when she's in school, in 2 short years.
