I was just wondering if there was much office work in Dublin at the moment? I work in Accounting/Finance and was thinking of heading over from Australia to work for a year. Will I get a job easily?

  1. I reckon you'll find a job here easily enough, especially if you have a good bit of experience in your field. Try www.jobs.ie, it advertises jobs of all sorts and has an accounting/finance section. Also, start emailing some companies to get an idea of whether they might be interested in what you have to offer. A good CV and cover letter will really stand to you. The jobs market in Ireland is quite strong at the moment and the financial sector seems to be really booming so I would say go for it. You might not want to leave the Aussie climate behind though, the weather here is pretty S****y 99 per cent of the year!

    Good luck!

  5. I'm not too sure about accounting/finance jobs but it seems to me Ireland needs workers of all types, so getting a job shouldn't be too challenging.
