Work in canada?anybody help?

As a citizen of Philippines I heard that canada is hiring some skilled worker. I am a professional teacher my de facto and I are wondering if we could apply at least a contractual or full time worker in canada. There are not many jobs for teachers right now unless you can teach French as a Second Language.
