Work in southern Ireland?

I am English... So do I need a visa / work permit to work in Southern Ireland ??? Actually - while I'm at it - how about Northern Ireland aswell ???

    You dont need a Visa or work Permit, you just come here and look for a job, your even entitled to welfare, amazing aint it!

    No offence, but if you have to ask a question as silly as this then you best stay put in England. Maybe consdier learning a bit more before you come over though.

  3. This very question is proof of just how insular England is ... no, you don't need a visa as you are an EU national to work in the Republic of Ireland. As Northern Ireland is part of the UK, you don't need one for there either, nor do you need a work permit.

    As an EU national, it's easy to get a residency permit. Get a job offer from an employer in the republic, then it's plain sailing. The best way to do this is to APPLY FOR A JOB YOU ARE QUALIFIED TO DO.
