Work/jobs to do when travelling?

Question

I thought about barwork, but you cant always be a barmaid, sometimes it just isnt available... :( is there any other jobs you can do temporarily for £ when travelling?

when i was travelling i got most of my rent paid by working at various hostels cleaning rooms

most big hostels will have job centres in them i got jobs as a dish washer , bar maid , pub crawl rep and various oher roles.

speak to lots of other backpackers as often you find you can get recommended for jobs when they or others move on

Fruit picking, which is very seasonal. Get an up-to-date copy of "Work Your Way Around the World". You'll find various ideas for seasonal work. Bar work: go to a tourist area right at the start of a season or even before. English teaching is also a possibility as is crewing, although a contribution is often required for this.
