Work permit during summer vacation?

On the application I'm filling out it says that "if under 18 do I have proof of a work permit?"

I'm 16 going on 17 next month.

So basically... The problem is, I can't get one from my school couselor because schools out, so what do I do?

well you can dl the application for the work permit, atleast for California you can, but on the application there is a section that your school must fill out. most schools still have secretaries and such even during summer.

No problem.

Although school is out, the school offices are open during the summer (at least most days) to register students who move into the area and to get ready for the fall.  You can go to the school and get your work permit even though classes are over  for the summer.  (But call first.  Some school offices are not open every day of the week.)
