Work permit for 17 yr olds?

Im 17 yrs old

I just got my diploma from High School, and I just found a job.

My employer wants a work permit so where do I go?

and my school is already closed, so I cant get one from there.

  1. in my state, you only need one if you're under 16. um my mom took me to a place.....i cant remember tho but tht old guy there gave us a hard time because we're native american. my mom shut him tho lol you can look it up online. workforce something. whatev i might be wrong

    oh yeah, you need your ss card, id, and a written paper from your employer saying that you have (or getting) a job


  2. This is just a guess. Do you have a Social Security card. Go to your local Social Security Office to apply for the card that you use for the rest of your life for every job and into your retirement days.  Call the Social Security office and ask them about how to get a worker's permit at 17.   In California, you are allowed to work with a valid Social Security card at the age of 16.

  3. Go to the school district office and they can give you one.
