Sorry i post this question again

So i am married to an american citizen, we filed the forms for my adjustment of status as well as my work permit and advance parole, the receipt notice has the date of june 20 and i got my biometrics done on July 16. I was wondering, does anyone have an idea of how long on average it takes between completing biometrics and work authorization?

I know it can be up to 90 days from the receipt notice, but are those day calendar or working days?? also does anyone got the work permit sooner than 90 days, how fast after completing biometrics, thanks a lot!

What's the average time it took for u to get your work permit card in your hands???

  1. 90 days are calendar days. Nobody cannot predict the processing dates of USCIS these days. All you can hope is that your EAD will be approved by September 20th or before hopefuly.

Mine was approved exactly on the 91st day last year; EAD filed on August 9, 2007 and approved on November 10, 2007 and received actual card on November 18, 2007.

You can check your application processing here with your Receipt Number

  2. They are fast

mine was less than a month.

  3. Long time!!

  4. USCIS makes efforts to adjudicate work permit applications within 90 days, like you said. As far as I know those are calendar days.

I got mine within 58 days as I recall. I believe I had my biometrics on September 20 and got the electronic notification of approval for my work permit on September 27. I then had the I-688B card in hand about 10-12 days later. I had filed on July 30 that same year.
