  1. every employer makes his policy of woking we have to follow that if we are interested to work that employer

  2. Each state has a waiting period, some states are 3 days and other are 14  days.  So your friends medicals will be covered but if your friend loses time from work during that waiting period they will not be compensated unless they lose more than the waiting period.

  3. OK, each state has a WAITING period, before the lost wages part of workers comp kicks in.

In CT, the "wait" is three days.  AND, it's only the time a doctor says you cannot work. So, if a doctor says you can't work for three days, those days you can either use personal time, or be unpaid.  If a doctor says you can't work for four days, but can go back on day five, the first three days are unpaid or personal time, the fourth is paid.

If a doctor says you can't work for seven days, or more, the three day wait is waived, and you get workers comp pay from day one.

If you aren't feeling well, and call in, that doesn't count.  It has to be a doctor that says you can't work.   Hope that helps.
