Workhorse Award?

I play field Hockey and i go to a camp for it and everyone gets an award i got the "workhorse award" but i dont know what it is please help me understand what a workhorse award is?

work horse is some one who does all the gritty hard, non glorious work....your the one digging for the puck and doing the scrappy things that dont get recognized.....its a honor because thats the most important stuff in a game.....you give it your all and thats very important
