Workin at the CARWASH!

Question

My friends and I are having a carwash to raise money for Darfur, genocide in Africa. What's the best way to get a lot of cars to come and where would be a good public place to do it? If anyone has ever held a carwash before, any pointers or tips? Help!

don't bother clicking Project Payday. that link/answer is being posted in several yahoo questions with same format same answer. projectpayday doesn't respect the system so don't bother wasting time on worthless websites.

for a carwash? just make sure u have a lot of parking space or slots where cars can park and get washed or wait to get washed. also get a nice dry area where people can wait for their cars to get washed. get good music too that applies for all ages. not loud. then u can put a sports tv in the same area. and MOST importantly, print two LARGE tarpaulins that will advertise your carwash business. make sure the advertisement contains only 2-3 colors at most and has a very simple layout. just to get people's attention. get a lot of volunteers to help you out if you want. and maybe soon, u can make this as a permanent business. the most important thing about a business is, do not cheat customers, care for your customer's feelings, and ADVERTISE ADVERTISE ADVERTISE.

Bubb1e, when I was teaching the majorette squad for high school every summer we would have a car wash for a fund raiser for their uniforms.  We always asked if we could wash the cars at a fast food restaurant where our customers could have a place a to wait. And of course I convinced the restaurant Manager that we would suggest that our customers make a purchase in the restaurant. It always went really really well and we never made under $500.  I suggest have some pretty women holding the signs and go on vista print and order some free post cards to hand out before your event.
