okay well my first question is do UN employees get payed decently..? what is the average salary? and also, if you want to work for the UN do you have to move to New York? thankyou:D

UN employees get payed "decently." The pay range is huge, because UN agencies employ everyone from local drivers in conflict zones to heads of UN agencies.

The Secretariat and some UN agencies based in New York, but others are based in Geneva, Vienna, Paris, Bonn and various other cities, and the UN has offices all over the world.

To work for the UN, you need to pick an area of specialization (children's health? organic agriculture? microfinance? urban renewal? adult education? radio communications? logistics in emergencies? small business development? teacher education? journalism training?). You need to get a Master's, and you need to be able to work in at least two of the UN's five working languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic or Chinese. Being able to work in another language -- Hindi, Farsi/Dari, Portuguese -- is also good.
