  1. I have two favorite positions.  Cashier and fries.

  2. i worked at Maccas, my favorite position was drive thru - Runner... cos it keeps you fit and you didnt have to talk to customers...

  3. casher

its a slower job and i get to talk to people

  4. cleaning operative would probably one of the best, all that grease from the cooking - get the spot cream out, and as for the people on the tills, the c**p you have to deal with for the poxy pay you get

  5. I worked most of those during my time at McDonalds so I'll just cover a few pros/cons about each.

Cashier is a bit slower then Drive Thru, but customers are more in your face. And it sucked when the games let out and people packed themselves in like sardines. But it had more down time.

Drive-Thru time went faster, customers were often more snappy. the car line was often neverending but you only had to deal with one at a time.

Meatmaker/Chicken Cooker- The grill is hot, but as long as you pace the meat right you have nothing to worry about.

Fries- Same for Meat and Chicken. Also hot grease hurts when the new kid spills it on you.

Food Preparer- Customers changed their order a lot, so things often had to be remade. It could be hard to keep up the pace when alone but otherwise it was ok.

    Maintance- It was fine.

Cleaning Operative- Scraping the remains of the adult diaper explosion off the bathroom walls and cieling so not fun. I was actually a cashier that day, but we only had a cleaning operative on weekends, so straws got drawn. I so lucky.

My store the front cashier handled lobby, it was a pain when the customers seemed to perfectly pick the worse time to come in.(Just finished mopping, all clean and sparkly, oh here they come, no one for two hours and now they are all here.)

The best position was Biscuit Maker, sure I had to get up blinking early, but I got to go home by 11 and I had the rest of the day to do as I pleased. Also I was all by myself in the little oven corner and I didn't have to deal with anything. Except when the managers demanded I bake more biscuits then our one little oven was actually capable of.
