I'm going on holiday in a week to the unites states and i shall be buying a digital camera over their and use it all the time. i was wondering wether buying a decent $120 camera over their would have enough memory to save hundreds of pictures and wether i could start using it right away. would it be easier to buy the camera over here, set it up on my compter and then take it on holiday with me? i live in GB btw. thanks

  1. When you get back to GB, you'll need something to adapt the charger to GB plugs.  The 3 chargers I have all say 100V-240V input.  So I think you'll be ok there.

Once you buy the camera, you'll buy memory cards.  You can get as many as you want.  And probably as big as you want.  They're pretty cheap, so if you're not able to take your computer, you can buy as many as you need.

In general, models sold outside the US are the same as the ones from the US.  Some have different names, but they're typically the same.  And there's no computer setup, just charge the battery and go! :)

    Have fun on your vacation.

  2. yeah

  3. Counting the the weak dollar?  You should be able to find what you are looking for without any problem.   The camera will be completely compatible with your computer.  The only problem may be charging the battery, battery chargers sold in the US won't necessarily work in the UK, you may have to buy another charger when you get back.  Also, the battery will require overnight charging before you can use the camera.

  4. You just buy as many memory cards as you need. Simple.

  5. So where are you going to find the cheapest camera store while you're away ??

A day wasted if you ask me.

Get your camera here and the extra memory. At least if it goes wrong, you will be able to take it back.

    Enjoy your holiday.
